My story

I am definitely one to spend a lot of time on my skincare, and always forget about the haircare side. Just like our skin, our hair is a living matter too and over the years I’ve come to realise that healthy looking hair can make you look youthful and flourishing, just like skin can.

After a few to many years of bleaching my hair and lots of summer holiday sun, along with swimming pool chlorine, my hair looked damaged and straw-like. It was time to take some action!

Looking for the best hair care products was a bit of a mind field to be honest, as I had no prior knowledge of what would actually work in the hair world. I know I wanted some kind of once-a-week treatment that could try and reverse some of the damage, along with being as kind as natural to my skin as possible.

After using Topic products on my skin for a while and them having such a great response to skin, I decided to try their hair care range and see what effect they could have.

Tropic Hair Treatments

I purchased the Nourishing Hair Cleanser & Hair Feast Deep Conditioning Treatment to begin with.

Initially I thought these were a little on the pricey side, but after reading the reviews and shopping around for similar products, I quickly realised that these were reasonable for its powerful natural ingredients and they actually last so much longer than I thought!

I have been using both products now for around a year and I’m still on the same bottle I first bought — value for money or what!

The reason being is that you don’t use these products every time you wash your hair. I would say I wash my hair normally 3 times a week and I would use these products probably once a month — some people use it once a week, it just depends on what your hair is like.

When my hair doesn’t go as long between washes and feels a bit sticky with the build up of products the hair cleanser is amazing to almost strip it back to its naturally glossy and product free self, leaving it incredibly smooth and my hair lasts for so much longer between washes.

To make the most of the cleanser I recommend using the scalp massager with it too, as the cleanser doesn’t foam up. At first it feels like it’s not working, as we associate a deep clean with a good foamy shampoo — but give it a chance and it will work its magic.

Tropic Nourishing Hair Cleanser & Scalp Massager

Unlike a shampoo though it leaves your hair leaving soft like you’ve already used a conditioner, so for some of you the cleanser will be enough and a conditioner treatment wouldn’t be needed every time.

If like me though where your hair just can’t get enough moisture, then I always use the Hair feast after the cleanser. I can usually get away with using it top to bottom of my hair with a little touching the roots. It’s a very powerful conditioner treatment, so it’s recommended to use on just the tips of your hair — also meaning you save on product too!

Just having the Hair Feast on for a minute or two, your hair already feels so much softer, stronger and smoother. I leave this on for at least 5 minutes, usually getting out the shower making tea and then washing it off later, so that it has the maximum chance to work its magic. Some people even leave it on over night to get the ultimate effect.

Tropic Hair Feast

After using these two products for a while now my hair has never felt so soft, strong, thick and shiny looking — even my hairdresser is amazed my hair is so strong and healthy even with the copious amount of bleach applied, and even after using these products so intermittently too, I am amazed they have had such an effect.

Don’t believe it, well why not try it for yourself?

Ingredients that make these products unique from others

The true results rely solely on the ingredients. These concentrated formulas are whipped up in Tropics UK laboratory, using only the freshest and most sustainable ingredients from around the world.

It seems like a very obvious thing, but you honestly would be surprised just how many of our daily beauty products ‘aqua’ AKA water is at the top of the ingredient list.

Unlike some other brands, Tropic doesn’t use water in their ingredients, so you can be sure to get a fully concentrated product. You won’t need to use as much product too and you are fully getting what you pay for — bonus!

The cleanser includes hero ingredients such as repairing macadamia oil, known for its reconstructive properties, great for restoring dry and brittle coloured hair.

Protective arginine, which is an amino acid which encourages the body’s production in protein and its blood circulation to the hair follicles. This encourages hair growth and helps to shield hair from the damaging effects of colouring and bleaching.

Pro-vitamin B5 are included too in the Cleanser to provide nutrients to the hair follicles, promoting a full head of shiny and healthy hair.

The Hair Feast is a deeply nourishing product for the hair, so includes a few more moisture replenishing ingredients.

Murumuru butters are featured in the Hair Feast, which provide the ultimate nourishment for the scalp and hair. This incredibly rich product is the reason little is more with this product. It’s highly rich in fatty acids, vitamins and minerals, all helping restore hair back to its health.

Ingredients such as jojoba, maracuja and tamanu oils all help with the deep nutritional boost that the hair is craving, leaving your hair feeling so soft.

Whilst strengthening and nourishing the plant proteins work by penetrating deep into the hair to repair and strengthen.

Both these products include carefully formulated ingredients, providing your hair with goodness it needs.

Conclusion

Trust me, I’ve done all the testing out for you of the cheap hair masks, conditioners and lotions and potions and this hair combo will leave your hair the best it’s ever been!
